Yiyayiyayo <— my attempt to speak Chinese

After filling up the gas, I went inside to the register to pay for gas and was asked if I was Chinese and if I’m watching the Olympics. “Of course”, I responded proudly. Funny thing is, today was the second time I was asked the same questions at a gas station. The gas attendants at the two different gas stations were both thick-accented foreigners, ironically asking me if I was the foreigner (Chinese). This coincident evidently proves that what China aimed for- global recognition, is really happening, even if it’s on a small scale here in mostly white populated Boxborough. But ahhh, I felt patriotic as ever when I nodded my head at the gas attendant.

Other things that made my day despite the heavy rainstorm (the weather usually determines my mood):

- thanks for lthe ower gas price, I had 1/10 more gas paying the same price as before :)
- my hot french co-worker’s “big plan” for tomorrow- going to L’andana to kick off the start of BRW
- going to the gym but not feel tired after 20 minutes of workout (lol, yes, I am aware that I’m out of shape and no, I did not lose weight like I planned to and having a physical on friday afternoon still holds true)
